To be a success, I believe in being guided by and committed to principles which will achieve understanding, harmony and development. On my desk I have the following statements to serve as a constant reminder:
I share with you excerpts from a few letters I have received over the years to familiarize you with my background.

"As a member of the Society of Human Resources and President Communications for the Jersey Shore Associate for Human Resources, I have worked with Ms. Covey on the JSAHR Executive Board where her talent, diligence and hard work has made a significant contribution to our Chapter's success as a Superior Merit Award winner. I have also heard her speak at various area HR functions and have always found her presentations to be informative, fresh, and extremely well-received. Ms. Covey has the unfailing ability to bring home a point in ways that her audience is not likely to forget."
Ann C. Edwards, SPHR, President - Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources

"You were able to very quickly assimilate a great deal of foreign information into a basic understanding of our business and our industry. Your poignant questioning provided the basis for strong affidavits and your persistence in asking us to delivery objective testimony from third parties proved to be the clincher for us. Despite what appeared to be reams of documentation, I never felt as though you were requesting an inordinate amount of our time, thus allowing us to stay on top of our ongoing business. And, I am sure you must work on many cases simultaneously, but I want you to know that whenever we spoke or met, I always felt that our case was the most important thing on your mind. You have delivered the ultimate in customer satisfaction! Thank you."
David W. Donahower, Vice Preident, Oxford Medical, Inc.

"Ms. Covey's knowledge in this field, and her ability to work with all sides, created the successful conclusion of the case. The opposing counsel was unrelenting in his client's behalf. Ms. Covey gave us the confidence necessary to see this matter to the end."
Chief John P. Salmon, Madison Police Department

"I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your professional courtesies in the above referenced case."
Thomas S. Hardy, Esq.,(opposing counsel) Parker, McCay & Criscuolo

"Now that the extensive and laborious arbitration hearings have ended, we want to express our thanks and appreciation for the time and effort and, most of all, your support and belief in our position. Your thoroughness, diligence, persistence and determination was a valuable asset in representing our firm and presenting our case during the arbitration hearings."
John and Vicky Craig, Procon, Ltd.

"The Asbury Park Press has provided a valuable service to the business and working community by publishing the Workplace Advisor. Ms. Covey obviously has the ability to clarify complex Title VII issues that often baffle and frustrate us mere mortals. It is a great value for both the employer and employee to see these difficult problems dealt with in a compassionate, understandable manner."
Tom Sorce, Vice President, Masque Sound & Recording Corporation

"I have just completed my review of your chapter and I must tell you that I am quite impressed with its content. Most articles I have read are not easy to understand, unless you happen to have a law degree. Not so with yours - I found the chapter very readable, and will certainly have a better understanding and appreciation for the laws as I continue my involvement in this profession. I would say that in my 30 years in the Compensation and HR field, I have not seen this subject covered any better than you have covered it."
William A. Caldwell, CCP, Editor-in-Chief the Compensation Guide

"You were terrific in reading the pulse of the audience. Opening the floor to questions so that you could deal with the audience's individual needs was an excellent choice. Then you handled the questions brilliantly, swiftly defusing many potential explosive situations. I also wanted to thank you for being such a terrific resource throughout the process of planning and preparing this symposium. You always brought a clear perspective to the event."
Wendy Liscow, Associate Artistic Director and Susan Marshall, Literary Associate, George Street Playhouse
